This mapping project was conducted in 2008 near Cambridge, Maryland. Mapping data were collected with side-scan sonar, a single beam acoustic seabed classification system, and a sediment grab. Acoustic and grab data were integrated to create benthic habitat polygons. Spatial data products created by the NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office have been used to support native oyster restoration and other resource assessments.
