NOAA B-WET has created partnerships with local groups to provide small grants to teachers and schools to support the implementation of meaningful watershed educational experiences (MWEEs) at the local level. More information on these opportunities are available on partner websites.
"The Mini Grants program awards up to $5,000 for projects that address one or more of the Trust's grantmaking priorities. The majority of Mini Grant applications are submitted by schools for field experiences and on-the ground student service projects. However, organizations and agencies may also submit grants for small projects and public awareness initiatives."
"The Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts administers MWEE grants for projects where Conservation Districts and schools in the Chesapeake Bay watershed team up to provide hands-on watershed experiences for K-12 students."
"The MWEE Partner Mini Grant Program will support efforts by community groups to provide youth with MWEEs. Funding is intended to help community groups build capacity for delivering and sustaining high-quality, meaningful environmental education related to water and watersheds. The program will complement the Virginia Classroom Grants program designed for teachers." |
