The NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office provides technical assistance and scientifically valid information to stakeholder groups. This assistance helps organizations plan and implement restoration activities and influence management decisions at the federal, state, and local level. NCBO also provides targeted education for stakeholders including municipal officials, watermen, community groups, and professional organizations. This includes the Chesapeake Bay Network to Educate Municipal Officials (Chesapeake NEMO), a collaborative network to target elected officials and other local stakeholders to provide watershed education and planning assistance in the Virginia Central Rappahannock and Maryland Eastern Shore regions.
