Directions to NCBO Main Office
NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office has four offices throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Our main office is located
in Annapolis, Maryland. We also have three satellite offices throughout the Bay region: Oxford, Maryland at the Cooperative Oxford Lab;
Gloucester Point, Virginia at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science and Norfolk, Virginia at Nauticus. Directions
to each of these locations are linked at the bottom of the page.
Our main office is in the Eastport district of Annapolis across Spa Creek from the Annapolis Harbor. It is
approximately 30 miles from Baltimore or Washington. The nearest major airport
is Baltimore-Washington International(BWI). Limo service is available between
downtown Annapolis and BWI and Reagan (Washington) National airports (Airport Sedan 410.760.3227).
If driving--Take Route 50 from the Washington Beltway (I-95/495) or from the
Maryland Eastern Shore via the Bay Bridge to Exit 24, Annapolis/Rowe Blvd.
If coming from Baltimore, I-97 empties into Route 50 just west of exit 24.
From the east, be sure to stay off to the right at the exit and do not go onto
Bestgate Road. Take Rowe Blvd until it forks then bear right onto Northwest Street
and follow it through one stoplight until it ends at Church Circle. Take a right
onto Church Circle and stay in the outer part of the circle.
Exit right onto Duke of Gloucester St (at light between Maryland National Bank and
Maryland Inn). Take Duke of Gloucester St until it ends at stop sign, staying in
right lane. Turn right to go over the bridge and stay in left lane after bridge.
Take first left, at stoplight, onto Severn Avenue. Go 1 1/2 blocks and turn left
into Annapolis City Marina pay parking lot or use free street parking.
The NCBO and conference room is on the first floor of the A Building next to
Carrol's Creek Cafe. The Chesapeake Bay Program Office is in B Building,
and the Bay Program Conference room is in C Building.
