The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) Code of Practice on the Introductions and Transfers of Marine Organisms Outbound gives internationally recognized procedures and practices aimed at reducing the risks associated with the introduction of non-native marine organisms. This site includes a link that will allow you to download a .pdf file of the 2004 version of the Code.

The World Conservation Union (IUCN) Outbound Species Survival Commission has a specialist group called the Invasive Species Specialist Group. The group has prepared a list of "100 of the World's Worst Alien Invasive Species" as a part of the Global Invasive Species Programme (GISP). This site provides an overview of the invasive species issue at the international level and provides links to other organizations and publications.

The Global Invasive Species Programme (GISP) Outbound provides support for organizations and institutions dealing with invasive species issues worldwide. This site has links to relevant international organizations, publications, events, maps, and a searchable database of information on invasive species.
